OpenHip is an online HIP production system for the creation of Home Information Packs.

HIP Production
OpenHip, together with technical support from Open Source, has proved to be a very potent and successful mechanism for creating HIPs packages. By the end of 2007, several of our clients had already provided around 50 HIPs packages, to their clients. This had not only provided an excellent source of extra income, it had also enabled them to win more conveyancing work from rival firms. The widening of the HIPs requirement, in December 2007, has increased the market dramatically and our HIPs provider clients, can look forward to substantial revenues and increased conveyancing business from HIPs production, in 2008.
Automation
OpenHip is a completely automated package, both for the issuing of instructions and the receipt of documents back from the relevant parties. All of the players, with facilities for various different options and alternatives, can be pre-programmed into OpenHip so that when an instruction is received, it is immediately dispatched, to the Energy Inspector/Surveyor, Land Registry, Search Provider and all other parties. At any time, a HIP can be produced from the received documents, in electronic format.
Case Management
A management section allows for the viewing of all actions that have taken place on a case and a document production centre shows the HIP being produced, as the various documents flood back in to the system.
The automated aspect of the case management system, keeps all parties informed when anything happens, by sending out an optional email or SMS text message.
HIP Production
When the HIP is completed, it is logged with the Government (Landmark) servers for the purposes of validation and if required is then forwarded directly into OpenHouse or other system.
Client/Inspector Access
A separate section of OpenHip, can be accessed, if required by a client or an Energy Inspector, to complete relevant on-line documentation and view the progress of the HIP.
Integration
OpenHip works best when it is integrated with the other two packages in the Open Source suite, OpenHouse and OpenDoc. The packages work together seamlessly to provide a flow of data and a completely automated system, from estimate to completion, via HIP. Though, any of the packages can integrate with other products.
